the last day of june has already crept up on me, and i don't have much to show for summer so far . sure, i've graduated high school, attended a few parties, finally finished my 'spring' cleaning, laid out on my deck for hours on end, wandered the dimly-lit streets with the distinct hunger for a summertime adventure ... but still it seems like the real stuff, all the true 'summer' stuff hasn't caught up with me yet .
it should happen anytime now .

ten places i need to visit before i die ♥ .
1. melbourne, australia : the melbourne aquarium - a two-million litre tank full of exotic fish - , greek cafes and shops in the little greece neighborhood, plays at the princess theatre and then a walk across the street to parliament gardens . not to mention the shopping bliss at queen victoria market .
2. st tropez, france : witnessing the regatta, scoping out the matisse at the musee de l'annonciade, soaking up the rays off the coast of the pampelonne a la brigitte bardot and dining at midnight at cafes off the shore .
3. edinburgh, scotland : namely being present for their hogmanay celebration, a street party lasting days on end filled with concerts and fireworks, leading up to new year's eve . also, visiting the underground city - the edinburgh vaults - and watching a football match (either the hearts of the hibs) .
4. miami, florida : staying at the city's biggest skyscraper (the four season's hotel & tower) and riding a bicycle in what was ranked america's cleanest city (forbes, 2008) . the nightlife just so happens to sound pretty exceptional aswell .
5. belfast, ireland : the perfect countryside setting to revisit my roots (i'm part irish), but not completely isolated due to its amplifying city life . also, and this is a little fantasy of mine, i'd love to experience something like cameron diaz in the holiday .
6. lyon and paris, france : paris fashion week, tour de france, the french open . as for lyon, it's said to be the culinary capital of france, so where better to dine on french cuisine ? also, l'opera national de lyon, and possibly watching a classic french film in the city from which hail the lumiere brothers, the first filmmakers ever .
7. copenhagen : the happiest city in the world . nuff said .
8. the republic of the maldives : fresh seafood, diving to the depths of a clear blue ocean, visiting the coral reef, the perfect place to play robinson crusoe .
9. ibiza, spain : preferably before i turn 25 . after all, it's the summer party capital of the world . note : staying in formentera - ibiza's low-key neighbour - for the beach and then taking the ferry over to ibiza now & then would be a more relaxing option .
10. vancouver, british columbia : i'd kill to be there next february (the winter olympics, of course), but really, anytime would kick ass . i love my country .

Ayer fui a un como cóctel en Antara de Telcel, estuvo bueno, ponian como cortos promocionando su onda de los cortometrajes que puedes mandar a Telcel, si les interesa chequen lo de Ideas en Corto de Telcel.
Había mucha gente y la carpa estaba muy chiquita pero la pase bien un rato, después me empezaron a doler mis nuevos ojos y piel y me fui.

Girls and Guitars

Lately I've been thinking about getting back into learning the guitar. I got a guitar for my 7th birthday but as a 7 year old I didn't really have the patience to master many chords. The guitar has pretty much been lying under my bed ever since...

Listening to alot of girl rock bands lately has inspired me to possibly seek out a few lessons...I'll be riffing it up in no time...

Oh and thanks for all the lovely comments regarding my new header...I thought it was time for a bit of a makeover, and whats more fun than a little image transformation?

Eyes pain

Despertar con dolores intensos en alguno de los ojos en la madrugada, o a las 11 de la mañana mareada y con todo girando son algunos de los síntomas post operación que he sufrido después de mi operación x ray de los ojos.

Es rarísimo, me dijeron que no dolía y me dolió a morir cuando te aplastan los ojos y pierdes la visión por unos segundos, (oficialmente los peores momentos de mi vida después de la operación de mi pie) pero ahora empiezo a medio ver, y también es rarísimo, igual porque super intensa no ha pasado ni una semana y ya quiero ver perfecto, lo que si es que todo el mundo me había dicho que iba a ser mucho más fácil, equis, es una operación y esta cool tener que estar en recuperación, solo no hablen si no saben! yo que lo viví, recomiendo ampliamente que si no son prácticamente ciegos, no se operen, (sigo traumada, se nota)...
