ride to ruin and the whole world's ending

a picture is worth a thousand words .
here are the 114 that came to mind .

it's mid-august, warm outside. for once, the flocculent kids are awake before noon, replacing their nocturnal ways with streamy rays of sunshine and freshly-squeezed, slightly spiked lemonade. they're californians, of course.
they have the habit of stretching out their seconds, their minutes, their days. they live in the moment, recklessly trading tomorrows for riotous nights. they're bohemians with copious lifestyles. well-heeled, well-off, well-to-do. flower children flocking to sunset boulevard, dolled up in pricey rags.
their happiness unfeigned, their bemused grins authentic, these fulgent souls impregnated with both affluence and grime at once, are golden kids with propituous destinies.
as of late though, they'd rather sprawl out poolside and soak in the nebulous horizon.
